This "revised special edition" may have served as a starting point for rehearsals of a national tour starring Mary Martin and Carol Channing. The tour ended abruptly when one of Martin's key speeches was cut. A 2006 tour starred Joan Collins and Linda Evans, but neither tour reached Broadway.
